“A picture is worth 1,000 words”
The world seems as if it’s both burning and blooming at the same time. Instead of sulking in my helpless, mental pit of despair, I am using this platform to share the stories behind my photography in hopes of making us all feel a little more connected. My insatiable curiosity about the world and its people has taken me around the globe (often spontaneously and with very little money) and left me with a lot of good stories to tell. My friends & family frequently suggest that I should write a book. And honestly, that sounds like a lot of work. So we’ll start with this blog, written from the perspective of a 20-something year old American girl navigating “unprecedented times” right alongside you.
As a photographer, I get invited into a lot of rooms I wouldn’t be in had it not been for my business. I’ve documented everything from luxury wedding days to wake up calls at the local homeless shelter. Some days it feels like I bounce between socioeconomic levels like a ping pong ball. Unlike much of the media we consume, I don’t go into sessions with a specific narrative to push. I’m simply a guest. I document what I see and how it felt, giving me a unique anthropological view into our society as we know it.
